March 2nd, 2021, At the Sankalp Africa Summit 2021, an initiative of Intellecap, Power for All’s director of communications Benson Kibiti joined Energy 4 Impact, Open Capital Advisors, Africa Management Institute, Intellecap, and New Energy Nexus in an interactive virtual session that provided the audience with expert opinions on the barriers reaching universal access including skills, finance, investment, innovation, and advocacy as well as on building an understanding of how an energy ecosystem is designed to accelerate the innovation needed to end energy poverty. MES 2021: Lessons and policy strategy outlook

Turning Challenges into Opportunities for Last Mile Energy Access in West Africa

March 9th, 2021, Running a sustainable last-mile energy access business is notoriously challenging for all segments of the value chain. Power for All’s chief campaign officer William Brent joined Generation Fund, Clean Technology Hub Inc., Green Village Electricity, and Okra Solar in a panel discussion on how players in the off-grid solar can collectively achieve commercially viable models for last-mile electrification. Brent’s presentation focused on the energy access ecosystem - success stories from the industry and ecosystem bridges that are yet to be built to enable last-mile electrification to thrive.
