Campaign Update: June 2019

10,000 Followers & Growing

It’s hard to believe that Power for All launched nearly 5 years ago. Now at 10,300 followers on Twitter, we continue to add around 300 followers per month, and our average monthly impressions are hovering around 300,000. We also continue to add to our community of action on LinkedIn (nearly 2,000 followers) and Facebook (more than 15,000 followers). We are focusing in 2019 on building our followers for visual content, so please be sure to follow us on YouTube and Instagram.

Jobs & Energy Access

Power for All and a coalition of partners will be launching its first annual jobs census of the decentralized renewable energy (DRE) sector in July 2019, including national events in our first three focus countries -- Kenya, India and Nigeria. As part of the lead-up to the launch, Power for All will be joining a side event at the High Level Political Forum (HLPF) at the United Nations focused on linkages between SDG7 and the other SDGs, including SDG8 (decent work). If you’re interested in expanding the census to your country, please contact us.

Partner Engagement

Huge kudos and thanks to partners SEforALL and GOGLA for including us in their events in Amsterdam. Our CEO Kristina Skierka participated in the SEforALL charrette on data, and also participated in the electrification accelerator. Our head of communications and engagement, William Brent, joined the GOGLA annual general meeting, as well as a CLASP event on productive use appliances.
