African Power and Energy Elites

Power for All’s CEO Kristina Skierka and Ifeomo Malo, Power for All’s country director for Nigeria were named to the prestigious African Power and Energy Elites 2020 leadership category for their exceptional leadership. They both join internationally recognized leaders from both the public and private sectors who are innovative in their leadership approaches and strategies. Skierka was nominated for her leadership in the first-ever integrated energy project with one of the only profitable African utilities (Uganda’s Umeme), Utilities 2.0. The Utilities 2.0 concept is breaking down barriers for decentralized and centralized organizations to collaborate to produce a feasible alternative to achieving energy access for all.

India Energy for All Summit 2020

Our partners in India, the  Clean Energy Access Network (CLEAN), hosted their annual India Energy for All Summit 2020 on 4-5 February in New Delhi. The event was attended by over 200 participants including government officials, civil society organizations, researchers, media, and decentralized renewable energy (DRE) enterprises all focused on fast-tracking India's clean energy transition by scaling-up the use of DRE and supporting the bid to achieve the country's global commitments towards its Nationally Determined Contributions and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

At the event, our CEO, Kristina Skeirka, along with our India Communications Director, Divya Kottadiel, conducted a masterclass session on marketing and communications for DRE enterprises.

DRE Data Network Workshop

Power for All, GOGLA, CLASP and AMDA hosted the second Distributed Renewable Energy (DRE) Data Network Workshop: ‘Powerful Research; Powerful Advocacy’ on Thursday, February 20th in Nairobi, back to back with the Global Off-Grid Solar Forum & Expo. The DRE  Data Network is a network of researchers, data practitioners and enthusiasts focused on the role, impact, and acceleration of distributed renewables in low-energy access countries.
