About Sarah Shaikh
Sarah is the senior campaigns and partnerships lead at Power for All, focusing on the design and execution of high-impact, systems-centered campaigns and building strategic cross-sector partnerships to advance the organization's mission to end energy poverty.
With eight years of experience in the humanitarian and development sectors, she has a strong track record in program design, strategy, business development and advocacy. Her work is grounded in a passion for climate justice and resilience, with a particular focus on the intersection of climate, water, food and energy systems.
Before joining Power for All, she was the program development and strategy manager at Mercy Corps' Energy 4 Impact, the organization's energy innovation platform. There, she led new business development, fostered cross-functional partnerships and coordinated implementation of its global strategy. She also held various roles during a six-year tenure at the International Rescue Committee, most recently in the Crisis, Recovery, Response and Development (CRRD) Technical Excellence department.
Sarah is a 2024 Women in Energy Fellow at Columbia University's Center on Global Energy Policy. She holds a bachelor's degree in neuroscience from the University of Texas at Dallas and a master's degree in development practice from Harvard University. She currently serves on the junior board of GallopNYC, New York City's largest therapeutic equine-assisted nonprofit. Shaikh is based in New York City.
