Universal energy access does not have to wait

Without an established method of energy delivery for the majority of the energy impoverished, rural areas of the developing world are a blank slate to reinvent how energy is generated, delivered, and paid for by more than 2 billion people in the world. Renewable, distributed, democratized energy is far more economical and effective than traditional, “steel-in-the-ground” approaches in the markets most affected by energy poverty. This type of solution to energy poverty is less expensive, faster to implement, and creates a sustainable solution to the energy needs of the developing world.
