SOUTH AFRICA, April 4–6: Power Africa Energy 101
Will Brent, Power for All’s Director of Communications, Media & Content will be joining members of the US government's Power Africa initiative for a training on how to best communicate the off-grid energy story.

WASHINGTON, D.C., April 13: World Bank/IFC Spring Meetings
Power for All is launching a call to action for finance institutions to do their part to accelerate energy access at the World Bank/IMF Spring Meetings. As well as releasing a point-of-view paper on the pace of investment, the campaign is hosting a panel with the World Bank, World Wildlife Fund and United Nations Foundation. SAN JOSE, May 4: Tesla Motors
Campaign Director Kristina Skierka will be speaking at the World Energy Innovation Forum on the important energy issues and opportunities of our time. She will join leading investors, entrepreneurs, corporates and policymakers, including TESLA CEO Elon Musk.

FREETOWN, May 9–10: Sierra Leone Ministry of Energy
With the Sierra Leone government, Power for All is coordinating the Energy Revolution: Off-Grid Renewable Energy Launch. Featuring a keynote speech from the UK’s Minister for International Development Nick Hurd, the event will be the first ever national conference on distributed renewable energy, bringing together the entire off-grid energy community in Sierra Leone, with over 400 attendees. Private sector organizations are encouraged to attend. More details will follow but please contact us if you are interested in upcoming opportunities in Sierra Leone.

SAN FRANCISCO, June 1-2: CEM 7
In partnership with the US Department of Energy and Global LEAP, Power for All is hosting EnergyAccessX, a groundbreaking parallel program at the seventh annual Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM7). We urge off-grid companies to exhibit at  the Startups and Solutions Showcase. Applications can be made on the CEM7 website until March 31st 2016. Scholarships are available for exhibitors who require financial assistance.

Power for All has also been profiling the power of distributed renewables in countries around the world, including a session on Nigeria Info FM Abuja with radio host Femi D.

New Partners & Allies

We are proud to have been joined by a number of new partners and allies this month, including: the Bangladesh Solar and Renewable Energy Association, Ugandan Renewable Energy Association, the Tanzanian Renewable Energy Association, Future Pump, Illuminando, GVEP International, the African Renewable Energy Alliance, Devergy, and the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP)

This month, we also announce our partnership with the University of California, Berkeley’s Renewable and Appropriate Energy Laboratory (RAEL), to build a platform which compiles and synthesizes data on energy access and distributed renewables. More details on this exciting initiative will follow shortly.
